This program allows Australian employers to sponsor employees who are foreign nationals for a permanent visa to work in Australia.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE EMPLOYER NOMINATION SCHEME VISA – 186
The employee can be either a highly skilled temporary resident in Australia or a highly skilled worker from overseas.
Have at least competent English.
EMPLOYER AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VISA – 186
To participate in the Employer Nomination Scheme visa program, the employer must:
1 Be actively and lawfully operating a business in Australia
2 Have a genuine need for a paid employee in the business
3 Follow all relevant Australian laws and have a satisfactory record of meeting Immigration laws
4 Have met training benchmark requirements
5 Provide the employee with an offer of permanent employment
The nominated position must satisfy the following requirements:
1 The position must be full-time, ongoing a available for at least 2 years
2 Provide working conditions that are no less favourable than those provided under the relevant Australian legislation and awards
3 Be in a highly skilled occupation which is listed on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List (CSOL), and it must meet the minimum salary level required under the Employer Nomination Scheme
